The three-question check

Before you buy, you should be able to answer yes to all three:

1. Are they 18 or over?
2. Do they already smoke or use nicotine?
3. Have they said they want a heated tobacco device?

If any answer is no, or "I'm not sure", don't buy it. If the person doesn't smoke, a device could introduce them to nicotine, which is addictive. If they're trying to quit, a tobacco product works against what they're trying to do.

Ask, don't surprise

Surprises are fun for most gifts. Not this one. Whether to use a heated tobacco device is a personal decision with health implications, and the person should make it themselves.
