TEREA in Goa: How Many Packs to Pack for a 3, 5 or 7-Day Trip

Nothing spoils day four of a Goa holiday like discovering you've only got three sticks left and no idea where to find your blend. If you're an adult who uses TEREA, the fix is a couple of minutes of arithmetic before you pack. This guide gives you the numbers ready-made for 3, 5 and 7-day trips, and then covers the other half of the problem: getting the packs there without crushing them.
The formula
- Sticks a day × days away = sticks needed.
- Sticks needed ÷ 20 = packs. Round up.
- Add one spare pack.
One stick is one session, and a pack holds 20 sticks.
Count the travel days too. A morning flight or an overnight train still counts as a day you'll use sticks.
The ready-reckoner
Packs needed before the spare:
| Sticks a day | 3 days | 5 days | 7 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | 15 sticks → 1 pack | 25 sticks → 2 packs | 35 sticks → 2 packs |
| 8 | 24 sticks → 2 packs | 40 sticks → 2 packs | 56 sticks → 3 packs |
| 10 | 30 sticks → 2 packs | 50 sticks → 3 packs | 70 sticks → 4 packs |
| 15 | 45 sticks → 3 packs | 75 sticks → 4 packs | 105 sticks → 6 packs |
| 20 | 60 sticks → 3 packs | 100 sticks → 5 packs | 140 sticks → 7 packs |
Then add one pack to whatever the table says.
Why a spare? Holidays change your rhythm. Long evenings at a beach shack can push the count up; a day of swimming and sleeping can bring it down. A pack gets crushed, or soaked by a wave, or left on a café table. The spare covers all of that.
Worked example
You use 10 sticks a day and you're going for 5 days:
- 10 × 5 = 50 sticks.
- 50 ÷ 20 = 2.5, which rounds up to 3 packs.
- Add a spare: 4 packs.
For a 7-day trip at 15 a day, it's 105 sticks, 6 packs, plus a spare: 7 packs. At that point a carton of 10 packs might be easier to buy before you go and pack from; you'd bring home what you don't use.
If you use two blends
Split the total by how you actually use them. If you use Amber most of the day and Turquoise in the evening, maybe two-thirds Amber, one-third Turquoise. Put the spare pack in your main blend.
Packing so nothing gets crushed
A TEREA stick that's been bent or squashed may not insert properly to the line on the filter, and capsule blends can click on their own if the pack is squeezed.
- Use a hard container. A small plastic box, a hard glasses case, or the empty carton itself if you're taking several packs. Packs loose in a soft bag will be crushed.
- Pack them in the middle of your bag, cushioned by clothes, not at the bottom under shoes and toiletries.
- Split them between bags. Some in your cabin bag, some in your suitcase. If one bag is delayed, you aren't left without sticks.
- Keep capsule blends on top, where nothing presses on them.
- Zip-lock pouch for the beach. Take one pack a day to the beach in a pouch. Sea air is humid, and a splash or wet towel ruins sticks quickly.
Looking after packs once you're there
- Keep them in the room, in a drawer or cupboard, out of the sun.
- Never leave them on a rented scooter seat or in a parked car. Goa's sun makes both very hot.
- Close the pack after every stick. Coastal humidity, especially if you're there during the monsoon, flattens the taste of an open pack.
- Don't leave a pack on a beach-shack table while you swim.
Don't forget the device
Charge the ILUMA i ONE fully before you leave; a full charge gives about 20 sessions and takes about 90 minutes over USB-C. Pack a USB-C cable. If you're flying, keep the device in your hand luggage, never in checked baggage, and check your airline's rules before you go. Our Goa holiday guide for the device covers battery planning and sand, and travelling with IQOS covers trains and flights.
Ordering before you go
Order your packs a little ahead of the trip so they're with you before you leave. Order on iqoser.in; checkout shows the delivery options for your pincode. Packs are ₹320–₹360 and cartons ₹3,000–₹3,400. Browse the TEREA collection or go straight to TEREA Amber.
TEREA works only in ILUMA-family devices. It's for adults who already smoke, contains nicotine, which is addictive, and isn't risk-free.
Questions
How many TEREA packs do I need for a week?
Multiply your sticks per day by 7, divide by 20, round up, and add a spare. At 10 a day that's 4 packs plus a spare.
Should I take a carton on holiday?
If the table says six or more packs, a carton of 10 can be simpler to buy and pack. Bring home what you don't use.
How do I stop TEREA packs getting crushed in a suitcase?
Put them in a hard container in the middle of the bag, cushioned by clothes, with capsule blends on top.
Can sea air spoil TEREA?
Humid air can make an open pack taste flat. Keep packs closed and carry the day's pack in a zip-lock pouch.
